Grandparents Day 2018

Grandparents were invited to come to school and shared their knowledge and wisdom with the children on 27 April 2018 at Regent’s International School Bangkok.

This event included a tour of the school and an assembly for 50 grandparents of students from the Early Years and Year 1 – 6. Grandparents and grandchildren shared lunch together and played outside.

Grandparents took part in lessons by sharing their experiences in class answering questions such as  “What toys did you play with when you were a child?”, “How did you travel to school?”, “What was your favourite subject in school?”, “What are your memories of school trips?”, “How was technology different when you were in school?” and “What playground games did you play?”.

All  Early Years and Primary students learnt from the good old days of their grandparents.

Secondary Swimming Gala 2018

At the end of last term, we were able to celebrate the notable talents of the Regent’s Secondary Students in the Swimming pool. We held our annual House Swimming Gala, which consisted of 75 competitive and well fought out races, with 250 students receiving personal medals and points for their House Team.  Performances of note came from Sun, Sebastian and Proud in the Junior and Intermediate races; while Louise, Lissa and Lhaki stood out in the Senior Section.

When the waters had calmed and all the points had been added together The Blue Sharks came out victorious, with Red Dragons in Second place, Yellow Tigers in Third and Green Crocodiles in Forth place.

We’d like to offer a huge thanks to all of the competitors, and staff who helped with the smooth running of the event. We look forward to our competitive TISAC Swimming Galas as they approach this term.
