NEW Early Years Cooking Room

Early Years perform at the Recital

We really enjoyed watching and listening to children from Reception playing instruments such as the piano and violin at the Early Years and KS1 musical recital this afternoon. We enjoyed looking at the suits of armour on display in the Knights Room too.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to enjoy Reception’s musical talents.

New Early Year Role Play

hospitals

The Reception children are having fun playing in the new Early Years role play hospital. They are enjoying pretending to be doctors, patients and nurses and it is helping them to learn more English as well as to interact cooperatively with their peers.

Still Life Art in Reception

Dol’s mum very kindly brought in some tomato plants for our GROWING topic. We looked at them very carefully as we sketched them and created our own paintings of them. We were like real artists in a still life art class!

Annual Music Recital

Parents and visitors enjoyed watching over 30 children perform as part of our annual Music Recital. The children from both Primary and Early Years played various musical pieces on the piano, violin and flute. It was a wonderful experience for all involved. Many thanks to Mrs Lyng for organising the event and to the children for all their hard work and practice.

Celebrating great work in Early Years

On Thursday morning Rew Rew in Reception N visited Mrs Perkins to show her his wonderful instructional writing on how to plant a tomato seed. He showed excellent confidence in reading and writing. Well done Rew Rew!

Planting tomato seeds in Reception!

We begin a new term with a new topic – GROWING. We planted tomato seeds this week and will be taking care of them by watering the every day and making sure that they get enough sunshine. Let’s hope that we can grow some delicious tomatoes!
