A warm welcome to all returning and new students. We start this term with our largest ever number of students, our best ever IB Diploma result, excellent IGCSE grades and a number of improvements to the campus.
Examination success
Over the summer break we learned that our average IB Diploma score was 36.1 which is higher than most other Asian countries’ and very likely to be the highest average score in Thailand this year. The highest individual score was 43 out of 45 and the school pass rate was 100%.
IGCSE pass rates were excellent too. A record-breaking 37% of all exams were passed at the top grades of A* and A, 80% of exams were passed at A* to C and 72% of students gained 5 A* to C. Particularly impressive as well was the 100% pass in English Language and English Literature.
New Sixth Form Course
This term we will be launching the Applied Learning course allowing some Year 12 students to study for the Level 3 BTEC in Business. This is a very popular qualification in the UK. Also we have become an accredited centre for the highly regarded International Computer Driving Licence IT qualification.
Staff news
We are welcoming 14 new teaching staff. Regent’s staff turnover at just over 13% is considerably less than other schools in the international sector.
