A balanced diet leads to good physical and mental health, and increases the ability to fight or resist diseases. Our Year 2 students have been learning all about the different food groups and what makes a balanced meal.
For the activity, they were given a Tesco receipt and had to use the different foods on the receipt to design their own balanced meal. Then they created their very own wraps using ham, tuna, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber. They were all very tasty!
Our Year 6 students were making clay oracle bones that link to their CCS history topic on Ancient China. They had to create their own oracle bone and then engrave it with Ancient Chinese characters. Oracle bones were important as they were used in Ancient China to predict the future. In the lesson, they were also asked these essential questions : 1. What can be learned about an ancient society by studying artifacts? 2. What makes humans want to predict the future?3. Is it possible to predict the future?

Last Friday, October 30th, Regent’s International School Bangkok celebrated Halloween 2020. The event was fun and festive with colorful and scary costumes, delicious treats, games, fundraising activities, and dancing. The students and staff came to school in their spookiest costumes, participated in Round Square charities, had their share of fun in the “Trick or Treat” and “Truth or Dare” stalls, and celebrated “spooktacular” creativity through fashion on the catwalk. Many thanks to the students and staff who worked hard to make this yet another great Halloween celebration for everyone at Regent’s International School Bangkok.
Our first Live Lounge of the school year was a success, with stunning performances from 8 bands, playing songs all the way from Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga and the Rolling Stones to BTS, Kat DeLuna and Ava Max. We had a ‘star-studded’ line-up of students and staff who are really brilliant! One of our students, Gracy (Year 8), the star winner of “The Voice Kids Thailand”, graced the Regent’s stage with a beautiful performance together with her band, Pancake X Waffle.
Every year our students get more confident, professional, and creative with their Live Lounge performances, and this year was no exception! At Regent’s, we always aim to create an inclusive environment that allows students to grow in confidence. Live Lounge is a platform that gives our students a chance to develop their musical skills further and to become an inspiration to other aspiring artists.A massive thanks goes to all the students for their fantastic performances, endless enthusiasm and commitment to music. See you in the next Live Lounge!
PJ Tennis launched our first tennis group lesson for senior school students at Regent’s International School Bangkok. As we do with our program we commenced the lesson working on the forehand technique. Our students now have some excellent technical understanding of the fundamentals – leg drive, stepping forward to the ball, and a high follow-through finishing at the shoulder. We look forward to continuing on with these programmes and forming a tennis team at the Regent’s International School Bangkok.
