Message from the Head of Secondary, Mr. Brian Irving
‘There’s always something going on’ may be viewed in many ways. In an ever optimistic way, I’d like to this of this as a positive affirmation of the number of events our staff organise for the benefit of the students in Secondary.
Last week alone, we have had a Year 8/9 Shakespeare Workshop, a number of games fixtures and a larger than anticipated University Fair and Preparation for University Presentations. In addition to normal lessons and ECA, staff are offering Intervention Sessions for Year 11 and Year 13 students who need some extra support and guidance in preparation for the forthcoming examinations. Students are being identified and personally ‘invited’ to attend these sessions at lunchtimes and after school. My thanks, on behalf of the student body, go to all staff who work tirelessly to ensure that the experiences of the students are the very best they can be.
From Head of Primary, Mrs. Rachel Perkins
we have enjoyed yet another busy week in both Early Years and Primary, especially as the Primary enjoyed their annual Sports Day. It was wonderful to see so many of you join us for this popular event. The children competed in a very professional manner and many medals were won on the day. Many congratulations to the Blue Sharks for winning the event and a huge thank you goes to the whole staff and Mr Bond for their support which made this day a great experience for the children.
This week we hope you can join us celebrating Chinese New Year and I am looking forward to seeing all the children dressed up in their red clothes on Friday.
Have a great week!
