Last Friday, October 30th, Regent’s International School Bangkok celebrated Halloween 2020. The event was fun and festive with colorful and scary costumes, delicious treats, games, fundraising activities, and dancing. The students and staff came to school in their spookiest costumes, participated in Round Square charities, had their share of fun in the “Trick or Treat” and “Truth or Dare” stalls, and celebrated “spooktacular” creativity through fashion on the catwalk. Many thanks to the students and staff who worked hard to make this yet another great Halloween celebration for everyone at Regent’s International School Bangkok.
Our first Live Lounge of the school year was a success, with stunning performances from 8 bands, playing songs all the way from Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga and the Rolling Stones to BTS, Kat DeLuna and Ava Max. We had a ‘star-studded’ line-up of students and staff who are really brilliant! One of our students, Gracy (Year 8), the star winner of “The Voice Kids Thailand”, graced the Regent’s stage with a beautiful performance together with her band, Pancake X Waffle.
Every year our students get more confident, professional, and creative with their Live Lounge performances, and this year was no exception! At Regent’s, we always aim to create an inclusive environment that allows students to grow in confidence. Live Lounge is a platform that gives our students a chance to develop their musical skills further and to become an inspiration to other aspiring artists.A massive thanks goes to all the students for their fantastic performances, endless enthusiasm and commitment to music. See you in the next Live Lounge!
PJ Tennis launched our first tennis group lesson for senior school students at Regent’s International School Bangkok. As we do with our program we commenced the lesson working on the forehand technique. Our students now have some excellent technical understanding of the fundamentals – leg drive, stepping forward to the ball, and a high follow-through finishing at the shoulder. We look forward to continuing on with these programmes and forming a tennis team at the Regent’s International School Bangkok.
We are delighted to invite parents of Year 5 and 6 to come along and see the Year 5 and 6 Production of ‘The Legend of Mulan’, on Tuesday, November 17th, at 1pm at the School Auditorium, 4th Floor, Primary Building at Regent’s International School Bangkok.
The Legend of Mulan is full of Chinese splendour, action, singing and dancing, and it also delivers an important message about courage, strength and working hard to achieve your dreams. Mulan challenges gender stereotypes when she decides to fight for her country and to bring home great honour and victory.

For Art Week, Year 5 were exploring cubist-inspired self-portraits. “Cubism” is a style of art that was started by Picasso (and his friend Georges Braque) in France in 1907. In this art activity, the focus is on students’ experiences in creating, modeling and using various techniques to develop their understanding about colour, tone and representation of subject matter in their own and others’ craft. The students explored this amazing project by taking portrait photographs from different perspectives, cutting them up and assembling them in unique and creative ways.
